Film director & coach Iris Olsson joins Confidants

Storytelling strengthens individuals and communities. Building connections and creating new meanings through film is a way to make sense of the world! It is a pleasure to announce Iris Olsson as a speaker for Confidants. Welcome!

"I’m excited to join Confidants, a platform that champions independent thinking and creative intelligence. I believe storytelling, especially documentary film, has the power to challenge norms, ignite change, and inspire audiences to think differently. In my documentary practice, I embrace the journey of observing the human world and offering art as a mirror for reflection. I believe artists play a pivotal role in society, and there should be an artist on every company or institution board—acting as an expert on creativity and a voice for the human experience.

Over the years, I've witnessed firsthand how a film can impact its audience and how empowering self-expression through filmmaking can be. As a trained documentarist and storyteller, I understand how exploring different perspectives, internalizing ideas, and fostering identification can transform not just art but entire industries.

I’m eager to explore how the tools of film and filmmaking can be applied across various fields—be it foundations, organizations, or companies—to inspire innovation and new ways of thinking. I look forward to sharing these ideas with a wider audience.", Iris Olsson.
